How does aromatherapy massage work?
Aromatherapy massage uses some of the classic massage techniques to aid relaxation, improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, improve suppleness and aid the release of muscular tension. The warmth of the therapist’s hands helps to move the oil across the skin, enabling absorption through the skin and inhalation through the nose. Once the massage oil has been absorbed into the body, the essential oils affect the body in different ways depending on which ones have been used.
Examples of what oils and their uses are.....
• Lavender for relaxation
• Ginger to aid digestion
• Rose for hormonal issues
• Grapefruit for detoxification

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy Massage uses the pharmacological, physical and aromatic effects of essential oils for relaxation and the improvement of physical and emotional well-being. Using a blend of carrier and essential oils in the correct dilutions, the aromatherapist massages an affected area or the whole body depending on the client’s requirements.
